Peoples Natural Gas will be in town working on replacing gas mains and gas service lines with a start date sometime between May 7 and May 12 (the date has not been set).
They will be working on the following streets:
- Station Street
- 13th Street from Station Street to a little past Middle Street
- Mulberry from S Canal to about halfway down the block between Middle and Main
- 14th Street from S Canal to a little past Middle Street
- Middle Street from 13th to 15th Street
Two days ahead of time, they know to post No Parking signs. There will be no parking on any of the streets for the first day as PNG will be doing all of the sawcutting on all streets the first day. After that, they will post streets for no parking when they will be working on them.
The complete scope of work will take 4-6 weeks. Restoration will start about a month after the work is complete. They will repair the sidewalks first and then the pavement.
