Elected Officials

Sharpsburg Council is comprised of elected officials and a mayor. The Council meets monthly to discuss agenda items, pass resolutions, share committee items and to hear from its residents. We are here to serve you!

My family and I have lived in Sharpsburg for almost 20 years.  I believe that my lived experience, combined with my 20 plus years of working at a non-profit organization, has given me the knowledge and skills to advocate for Sharpsburg and help address the unique challenges that we face.  I am committed to helping us grow, develop and thrive. I love being a part of our community and I am honored to serve on council.

Occupation: On-site Services Program Manager at the Women’s Center & Shelter.

Political Experience: Appointed to Council August 2017, appointed to Council August 2019. Elected to Council 2020. Relected to Council in 2024 for a two-year term.

Professional or Civic Affiliations: Board member of the Fox Chapel District Association, volunteer for Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization, Council liaison to Parks & Recreation Commission and Human Rights Commission.

Education: Bachelors of Arts in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Social Work from Point Park University.

“I am a third-generation Sharpsburg resident who has lived through the cyclicality that every municipality experiences. As times change, the infrastructure of a community must adapt. They say that a good source of knowledge is experience. I choose to be a member of borough council as I feel I can contribute what I have learned over the years and share that information.”

Political Experience: Elected to Council in 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022, 2024. Previously served as President and Vice President.

Professional / Civic Affiliations: Sharpsburg Representative for the North Hills Council of Governments (COG); Allegheny County Boroughs Association, District 1 Director; Chaplain for Southern Allegheny Valley Emergency Services Station 102; Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 106; Member of Christ the King Catholic Church Pastoral Council / Mass Lector.

“ My great grandparents immigrated to Sharpsburg from Italy.  My grandmother raised my mother on 13th street and owned a produce shop in the business district.  Growing up, I spent weekends and holidays in Sharpsburg at my Nunie’s house with my cousins.  Sharpsburg is rich with both stories of generations of family history and new faces choosing to place roots here– I’m honored to serve as a councilwoman to work alongside the whole of our community to ensure it is a thriving, diverse place for all.”
