Council Committees
There are six Council committees, each having two co-chairpersons. The co-chairs are listed in alphabetical order. Some topics may cross multiple committees, in which case no more than three Council people will work on an issue before bringing it to the full Council. The Council president serves as Ex-officio of all committees and is the official signatory of borough documents.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee works on financial concerns of the Borough, which may include reviewing monthly financials, the annual audit, contracts, or other matters that impact the Borough’s finances.

Communications
The Communications Committee works on topics that will increase communication with residents, business owners and visitors. This includes topics such as the website and any other communications.

Public Safety
The Public safety works on issues related to police, fire and EMS services and any other issues that are a matter of public safety.

Environment
The Environment Committee works on issues that are related to the environment and/or sustainability. Some topics include any additional solarization on public buildings, ALCOSAN projects and projects that increase the energy efficiency of buildings. This Committee may also work on green space initiatives.

Zoning/Planning/Code
The Zoning/Planning/Code Committee covers a broad range of topics as zoning and code applies to many aspects of life in the Borough. Topics range from property maintenance to parking to solid waste standards. It also is charged with planning, which could be a Comp Plan, a stormwater management plan or other plans covering critical issues.

Asset Management
The Asset Management Committee covers a broad range of assets from the sanitary/stormwater systems, the parks, public buildings, roadways and any other asset.
